Why do you want to hire a licensed commercial drone pilot

We get inquiries for smaller jobs, such as "my backyard will have new landscape design, and how much does it cost to get the photo of my backyard?" 

When our clients hear the price for smaller jobs like the one above, often they get the impression that our fee is pricey, at least for what they imagined.  Some even end up saying the quote in the title, "I can go buy a drone from Best Buy for $500 and I'll take photos and videos myself".  

We always ask them back - "Well, do you have a drone insurance?  What do you think will happen if the drone falls into the roof of your neighbor? "  

Statistics show that even newly purchased drones fall and crash sometimes.  And have you heard of flyaways?  Some new drone owners are so excited to fly the new drone they just purchased, and on the first flight, the drone flies away and lose the $500 they just spent on. 

And what's even more important is the intent - are you going to use the images you obtain for commercial purposes? That includes promoting your own landscape design like the example above, promoting your listings and properties for houses you shoot photos and videos of, and surprisingly, even when you don't get paid!
